Closures will begin at 6 a.m. Friday with the city parking lot between College Street and Third Avenue South (behind J. Broussard’s). The entire lot will be used this year. Fourth Street between College Street and Main Street will also close.
Beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, there will be closures on Fifth Street South from Main Street to Third Avenue South, College Street from Third Street South to Seventh Street South, Sixth Street South from Main Street to Third Avenue South, Fourth Street South from Main Street to Third Avenue South (though St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s parking lot entry will be open) and Third Avenue South from Fourth Street South to Sixth Street South.
On Friday afternoon, special entrances will be available at College Street and Seventh Street South only for guardians picking up children from First Methodist Church Daycare.
Two other parking lots will also close at 3 p.m. Friday, including the city parking lot beside Catfish Alley and College Street (behind Cobalt’s) and the city parking lot behind the U.S. Post Office.
Cars not removed by closing times will be towed. Handicapped parking will be available behind St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with an entrance at Third Avenue and Third Street South. Parking will be available on a first come, first served basis.
