Officials with the Columbus-Lowndes Habitat for Humanity are seeking information regarding a utility trailer belonging to the organization that has turned up missing.
Kathy Arinder, executive director of the Columbus-Lowndes Habitat for Humanity, said the utility trailer has been missing for several days.
“The trailer was at a house we are building on Kidd Road in Caledonia. One of our volunteers went out to the work site on Saturday, and noticed it is missing. It has been missing between Thursday and Sunday,” she said.
Arinder said the 10 feet by 6 feet utility trailer contained building tools volunteers and workers are using to build the home.
“It had our air compressors, nail guns, any kind of tool you can imagine. The trailer itself is worth $3,500, and the tools are worth at least $2,000,” she said.
Arinder said this was one of two trailers at the work site.
“The other one has our Habitat for Humanity logo on it. We have filed a report with the Lowndes County Sheriff”s Department. We hope it can be recovered,” she said.
