The following crimes were reported by the Columbus Police Department:
Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Waterworks Road Friday in response to a reported aggravated assault. A complainant said unknown subjects fired shots at the vehicle in which he was riding. Officers found no evidence of bullet holes on the vehicle and witnesses denied any shots had been fired.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 23rd Street North Friday in response to breaking and entering and stolen property. Individuals broke into a locked utility shed and stole two Stihl chain saws, two Stihl weed eaters and one Beach Cruiser bike.
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Rebecca Lane Saturday in response to burglary and larceny of an automobile. An alternator was stolen from a car.
Officers were dispatched to 524 12th St. N., Sally”s Boutique, Saturday, in response to an attempted break-in. The front door was pried and kicked, but no entry was gained.
Officers were dispatched to Riverhill Chevron at the corner of Third Street North and Second Avenue Saturday in response to a reported assault and robbery. A man was struck in the head from behind by three male assailants who stole the man”s wallet. The victim was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital with a head wound.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Airline Road Saturday in response to grand larceny of an automobile. The tires and rims were stolen from the right side of a parked car.
Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 10th Avenue South Saturday in response to an attempted robbery in front of Oak Manor Apartments. A male was approached by a male with a handgun demanding money. The unarmed individual fled without harm.
Officers were dispatched to 1900 Main St., Grocery Discount Tobacco, Sunday in response to burglary and larceny of an automobile. A parked car was left unlocked and a wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
Officers responded to 809 Alabama St. Sunday in response to burglary and larceny of an automobile. A window was broken out of a parked car and a laptop computer and MP3 player were stolen.
Officers were dispatched to 1301 Highway 45 N., Old Hickory Steak House, Monday in reference to a burglary. Entry was gained by breaking a window and the cash register drawer was pulled open. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
