Columbus Police are on the lookout for a suspect in an armed robbery incident Saturday night at a local convenience store.
According to information provided by CPD Public Information Officer Terrie Songer, the incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the B-Quik, at 635 31st Ave.
Songer said a female cashier was outside the store when she was approached by a black male.
“According to the report, he told the cashier he wanted all the money in the safe. He showed her a black pistol he had in the waistband of his pants,” she said.
Songer added the subject went inside and took an undetermined amount of cash, and left on foot, going across the street to the Pear Orchard Apartments.
“The subject has not been seen since,” she said. He was described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a blue bandana covering half of his face and blue jeans.

Domestic violence incident
In another incident, the CPD is also investigating a domestic incident that took place today.
Songer said that at 2 a.m., officers responded to a call at the emergency room of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle where the victim of the incident was being treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.
“The incident happened at the 800 block of 20th St. N. where the victim lives,” she said.
Songer said according to the report, the subject made threats to the victim, and the victim took a gun from under his pillow to defend himself.
“They fought and the gun went off, and shot the victim in the hand. He has been treated and released,” she added.
Songer said the subject has been identified as Tommy Lee Williams, no age and address are available.
She added a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Williams on a charge of domestic violence- aggravated assault.
