The Columbus Police Department is sponsoring its annual Christmas toy drive with a goal of providing 75 children with toys and/or gift cards.
“We understand the economy is still a long way from recovery and it is hard on everyone, but there are some children that will not have any type of Christmas if we don”t help them,” Terrie Songer, public information officer for the CPD, wrote in a press release. “We are trying to reach the most needy families this holiday season. Any type of contribution will be greatly appreciated.”
