A Columbus man has been arrested after a Wednesday afternoon drive-by shooting, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
The victim was driving on 19th Street South near College Street when the car he was in was allegedly struck by gunfire.
Investigators identified Paris Lamar Wells, 31, and arrested him later that day. He was charged with aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to life.
Police recovered a sawed-off shotgun during the arrest.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Wells was still in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center as of press time Friday.
