The C-Town Cares concert Sunday at the Riverwalk drew more than 1,200 people and raised more than $15,000 for Smithville tornado victims, according to event organizers.
The noon to 10:30 p.m. concert, which was organized by local businesses and musicians, brought in 15 bands and four vendors, who contributed their time and proceeds.
The money will be given to the mayor of Smithville tonight at the Columbus City Council meeting in the city”s Main Street Municipal Complex.
