The Golden Triangle Development LINK announced the graduation of Director of Finance Leah Upton from the 2023 Emerging Leaders Fellows program.
Upton was recognized during the 2024 MEDC Awards Luncheon Feb. 8 in Jackson along with fellow graduates from across the state.
The Emerging Leaders Fellows program, organized by the Mississippi Economic Development Council (MEDC), is a foundation for emerging professionals in economic development to build skills and connections through a year-long course. Fellows of the program gain insights and networking opportunities through statewide regional training sessions.
The LINK congratulated Upton on the significant milestone in a press release Monday and encouraged others to consider applying for the Emerging Leaders Fellows program.
“Upton’s successful completion of this rigorous year-long course is a testament to her dedication and leadership within our organization,” it reads.
MEDC is accepting applications for the 2024 cohort of emerging leaders until Feb. 29.
