Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle has been recognized as a top performer in the 2022 Bernard A. Birnbaum Quality Leadership Ranking.
Baptist ranked number 10 out of 650 hospitals for quality of care in the United States as a complex care medical center by Vizient, a national database service, which allows hospitals around the country to compare the quality of care provided to patients with other similarly sized care facilities.
BMH Chief Executive Officer and Administrator Paul Cade was presented the award Thursday afternoon at the hospital’s Outpatient Pavilion Conference Center by Vizient representatives Lani Berman and Michael Schwab.
During the ceremony, Berman made note of the hospital’s superior care to its patients and the working relationship between the hospital and the database company. Baptist currently has 315 beds, making it one of the largest hospitals in the Memphis, Tennessee-based Baptist Memorial Health Care system. The hospital staffs more than 100 physicians and surgeons, and was also named large business of the year by the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce during its annual luncheon on Dec. 9.
“It’s just an incredible privilege to be here and get the privilege, I should say, to work really closely with the entire Baptist system,” Berman said. “This award, We’re just from the bottom of our hearts, so incredibly excited to share it with you today.”
Cade told more than 20 attendees how proud he was of the success of the hospital’s efforts and how the ranking reflects the drive and work ethic of the hospital.
“Recognition from a national organization for providing superior care is a great honor and a testament to the diligent work performed by our team members at Baptist Golden Triangle,” Cade said. “It speaks volumes about our culture of quality, which is demonstrated by our staff and employees on every level, every day. That dedication shown by our medical staff, employees and volunteers is why we continue to be recognized on a state, regional and national level for delivering high quality on a consistent basis.”
