The following arrests were reported by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department and the Columbus Police Department:

  • Timothy Derell Williams, 37, of 312 Taylor St., was arrested Dec. 2 by CPD at his residence and charged with disturbance of family peace, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 22.
  • Kilontrea Vashawan Allen, 20, of 1310 20th St. N. was arrested Dec. 2 by CPD at 14th Ave. N. and 22nd St. N., and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Chrsitopher Montat Harris, 20, of 152 Beech St., was arrested Dec. 2 by CPD at 14th Ave. N. and 22nd St. N., and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
  • Deon Steven Williams, 19, of 1623 23rd St. N., was arrested Dec. 2 by CPD and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia and failure to obey a police obey.
  • Franklin Derrel Hargrove, 32, of 808 Remunda Drive, was arrested Dec. 2 by CPD and charged with failure to appear and violation of probation. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 8.
  • Connie Marie Scruggs, 43, of Coffeeville, was arrested Dec. 3 by CPD on Lincoln Road beside Walmart. She was charged with her third offense of shoplifting $250 or more.
  • David Malcolm Covington, 34, of Meridian, was arrested Dec. 3 by CPD on Lincoln Road beside Walmart. He was charged with his third offense of shoplifting $250 or more.
