STARKVILLE — A literal parting shot after an argument Friday night at Zaxby’s has a Starkville man facing misdemeanor charges.
Sheron Gandy, 37, was arrested Monday for discharging a firearm in the city limits and disturbing the peace, a Starkville police press release said.
Ethan Foster, 26, of Starkville is also charged with disturbing the peace. He was arrested Saturday.
Officers responded to a shots-fired report near the restaurant on Highway 12 West at 7:19 p.m. Friday. The two men were in a verbal argument inside the business, the press release said, and after they left, a single gunshot was fired into the air.
No injuries were reported.
The two had gotten in separate vehicles and were leaving Zaxby’s when Gandy fired the shot into the air from his vehicle, Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady told The Dispatch.
