Absentee ballots for the April 22 municipal primary runoff election for Ward 2 councilman are now available in the city registrar’s office at 1605 Main St.
Democrats Roderick Smith and Laisha “Ms. She-She” O’Neal are on the ballot.
In addition to normal business hours – from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays – the registrar’s office will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon for absentee voting. The office will also be open for the same hours April 19, which is the deadline to vote in-person absentee.
Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before election day and received by the registrars office within five business days.
