Authorities have arrested three men accused of robbing a Highway 45 North convenience store last month.
Christopher Tate, 19, of 6462 Hwy. 45 N., Curtis Clay, 19, of 93 Quinn Dr., and Ziree Butler, 19, 710 Hemlock St., were each taken into custody last week, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Tate and Clay were arrested by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. Butler was arrested by CPD.
Each of the men face charges of armed robbery.
Authorities say the suspects robbed the Creekstone Chevron at 3920 Hwy. 45 N. on May 3. No additional details were released.
They are believed to have committed other robberies, as well.
Fred Shelton, assistant chief with CPD, told The Dispatch this morning the men are suspects in three to five armed robberies at Lowndes County convenience stores.
The cases remain under investigation.
