West Point Consolidated School District will move to virtual learning for the next two weeks due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
The district announced Monday that students will not return to campus for in-person classes until at least Sept. 7.
This is the second school district in the Golden Triangle area to move to temporary virtual learning for at least some of its campuses. Caledonia High School, a school within Lowndes County School District, moved to virtual learning Aug. 16 after an outbreak occurred among students. CHS students will return to face-to-face learning Monday.
