STARKVILLE — The Starkville Area Arts Council is proud to announce the Nell Elam Art Attic.
The attic features an inventory of artwork for sale in the SAAC gallery, including donated pieces and unclaimed works from past exhibits. This unique new project will serve as a fundraiser for SAAC and funds raised will be used to benefit the vision of art education in the Starkville area.
The attic was named for longtime volunteer and previous SAAC Board Member Nell Elam.
Elam was a driving force in the conception and development of SAAC and has worked tirelessly to foster the growth and success of the arts council.
Nubbin Herring, current SAAC executive board member, said, “We are so proud to honor Nell for her long-time service to further art education in the Starkville area.”
The Art Attic will accept donations of art pieces from area residents beginning Aug. 1. Items can be framed or unframed.
