God has given every Believer power to bind and loosen. When we bind up something, we have to loosen the opposite of what we’re binding up with the word of God. “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” (Hebrews 4:12) NLT
Pride is something that can creep into our lives in various ways without us even realizing it. One way of being proud is when we don’t want to listen to others advice because we think we know it all ourselves. Another way is when we always want to be the center of attention, or when we are too proud to ask for help. If we have any of these prideful ways we need to bind them up and loosen humbleness. “But he giveth more grace. “Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (James 4:6) KJV
Sometimes the situation we’re in makes us feel sad and depressed. When we start feeling this way, we have to bind up sadness and loosen joy. Once we do this, we will start rejoicing in the Lord. The more we rejoice, the happier we will feel. “But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy.” (Psalm 68:3) NLT
All of us at some point in life will experience some kind of sickness in our bodies, whether it’s physical, spiritually or emotional. However, when sicknesses attack our bodies, we need to bind it up and loosen God’s healing power. “Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.” (Jeremiah 33:6) NKJV
When we find ourselves constantly worried and on edge, we need to bind up worry and loosen peace. “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7) NLT
There are times when we want to hate our enemies because they’re always scheming and plotting up evil ways to harm us in some way. In times like these, we have to bind up hate and loosen love. “But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember: God has promised us whatever we bind, He will bind and whatever we loosen, He will loosen. “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18) KJV
