In this life we will have trials and tribulations, but with the Lord on our side we can overcome them. That’s enough to make us rejoice. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) KJV
Sometimes we go through circumstances that leave us deeply wounded. It can be a painful divorce, the pain of a broken relationship, the loss of a loved one, or the betrayal of a best friend. During these times, we have to remember the Lord is on our side, and He will heal every wound. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) KJV
No matter what storms are going on in our lives, we don’t have to be afraid because the Lord is on our side. Just as He has the power to calm the physical storms, He also has the ability to quiet the storms in our lives. “He maketh the storm calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” (Psalm 107:29) KJV
Some people that we least expect to turn against us will turn for no reason. It may be a co-worker, an enemy, or a family member. They will pretend like they’re for us in front of our face, but as soon as we turn our back, they will talk against us. It doesn’t matter what odds are against us, the Lord is on our side. There’s nothing they can do or say to hurt us. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) KJV
There will be times when it seems like trouble is coming at us from every side. In times like these, we have to know that the Lord is on our side and He will not let our troubles crush or destroy us. “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” (1 Corinthians 4:8-9) KJV
We all have some kind of problem we’re dealing with, whether we admit it or not. Regardless of what kind of problem we’re going through, we have the Lord on our side. There’s no problem that is too big or too hard for Him. “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember: The Lord is on our side and He is able to do more than we can ask or think. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” (Ephesians 4:20) KJV
