God has the ability and power to fulfill every promise He makes to us. We can have absolute confidence in Him to do what He says He will do because He’s a promise keeper. His timing is always perfect, and His promises will surely come to pass in our lives. “And being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was also able to perform.” (Romans 4:21 KJV)
In our daily lives, doubts may arise, or discouragement may try to take hold of us. In times like these, we must keep our hope anchored in God, who is always faithful to His promise. We can’t waver; we have to stand firm and keep professing the truth of who God is and what He has promised us, for He is a promise keeper. “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23 NKJV)
Throughout every generation, God has proven to us time and time again that He’s a promise keeper. Regardless of how many years ago it was, His promises will remain true and everlasting. “He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He made, for a thousand generations.” (Psalm 105:8 NIV)
If God makes a promise, we can trust that He will keep it. Unlike us, we may change our minds or fail to follow through, but God does not lie. When God promises us something, He will carry it out because He’s a promise keeper. “God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers 23:19 NLT)
When we’re going through our pain and suffering, we may feel like it’s not going to end any time soon. In moments like these, we can find comfort in knowing that God is a promise keeper. His promises are what give us comfort and peace during our suffering. “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” (Psalm 119:50 NIV)
Eternal life is a gift from God that is received through faith in Jesus. It’s not something we earn through our own efforts, but a gracious offer extended to all who believe. As Christians, we have the added assurance that God is a promise keeper, and His promise of eternal life is sure. “And this is the promise that He has promised us: eternal life.” (1 John 2:25 NKJV)
So be encouraged today and always remember: Every promise God has made to us, big or small, will come to pass. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so, through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV)
