A scheduled Aug. 9 concert and two workshops by the Twangtown Paramours of Nashville, Tennessee, have been unavoidably postponed, the Columbus Arts Council announced Wednesday. But in their place, the arts council presents Partial to Home, an intimate evening of music by Columbus musicians Paul Brady, Bo Jeffares, Dale Robertson and Roger Truesdale in the Rosenzweig Arts Center Omnova Theater.
“We sincerely apologize for the cancellation of the Paramours events, but real life happens to musicians, too,” said CAC Programming Manager Beverly Norris. “The talented husband and wife duo has unfortunately been hit with a serious illness in their family. We certainly keep them and their family in our thoughts. We hope to reschedule for a later date.”
The Partial to Home concert will feature Brady, Jeffares, Robertson and Truesdale in a repertoire of solo and group numbers in this annual showcase of talented vocalists and instrumentalists living in the Golden Triangle.
“We’re lucky to have so many gifted musicians right here among us,” Norris remarked. “For us, it’s an honor to feature them on our stage whenever possible.”
Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the arts center located at 501 Main St. For tickets or information, contact the CAC, 662-328-2787.
