The Junior Auxiliary of Columbus has announced the members of the 76th Annual Charity Ball Court, who will be presented this evening at the Trotter Convention Center. The procession of high school seniors will begin at 7 p.m., following the presentation of the Charity Ball King and Queen.
The court members for 2026 are Sophie Milam, Blake Casano, Katie Frost, Bes Sumrall, Jack Rye, Jack Tompkins, Mosby Wilson, Sam Edwards, J.R. Dowdle, Cole Shelton, Charlie Fowler, Colin Cunningham and James Hawk.
The theme, “The Heart of a Village: Legacy of Service. Powered by Many.,” celebrates the commitment of the Junior Auxiliary of Columbus’ Active, Associate, and Life Members.
The theme also recognizes the sponsors, donors, families and community partners who support the organization with their mission to serve the children of Lowndes County.
“This year’s theme beautifully reflects what we know to be true – we cannot do this work alone,” the group said in a statement. “It truly takes a village. Because of the dedication and kindness of so many, the Junior Auxiliary of Columbus continues its proud legacy of strengthening and uplifting children and families throughout our community.”
Patrons can look forward to an evening filled with “elegance, tradition, and heartfelt celebration.”
The event schedule has changed this year: doors will open at 6 p.m., and the formal presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy time together, and be seated in anticipation of this special presentation.
“The Junior Auxiliary of Columbus is deeply grateful for the continued love and support of their community,” the group said. “Together, we truly are the heart of a village.”
