■ J.D. Spencer at Commodore Bob’s: Musician J.D. Spencer will be performing at Commodore Bob’s Yacht Club in Starkville from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

■ The Muses: Friendly City Books and the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library are collaborating with a monthly book club for anyone who loves fantasy, mythology, romantasy and stories about women. The book club will kick off with its first meeting at 7 p.m. with the book “Goddess of the River” by Vaishnavi Patel. The group will meet at Friendly City Books, and will continue to meet the fourth Tuesday of every month after the kick off.

■ Books and Bulldogs: MSU athletes will be coming to the Starkville Public Library for a story time for children ages birth to 12 years old from 2-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
■ Heritage Museum Speaker: Richard Mullenax will be coming to the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum at 10 a.m. to speak about growing up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee between 1942-1946, at the same time the Manhattan Project was being worked on at Oak Ridge. The public is invited to listen to Mullenax speak.

■ Forks and Corks: The Starkville Area Arts Council’s annual Forks and Corks Fundraiser raising money to support art education programs in Oktibbeha County, will be at 6-10 p.m. at State Theatre. This year’s theme is “90s Back 2 School,” with awards for best dressed, live music and dancing. The event will also include a silent auction and other art sales. ■ Annual Campaign Kick Off: United Way of the Golden Triangle Region is hosting its $50K Your Way raffle and annual campaign kick-off at Munson and Brothers from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Raffle winners will be announced. There will also be food trucks, live music and inflatable jumpers for children.
