Starkville Strong is thrilled to announce its inaugural fundraising event, “Dancing Through the Decades: A Grown-Up Prom for Adults,” set to take place on Aug. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Gathering in Starkville.
This unique event promises to be a night filled with nostalgia, fun, and community spirit, all in support of crucial local initiatives. Attendees will enjoy a journey through musical eras, with themed photo booths, and contests for prom king and queen, as well as best-dressed awards.
This event offers a perfect opportunity to relive prom night memories or experience them for the first time while supporting Starkville Strong’s mission.
“We are incredibly excited to host our first ever fundraising campaign,” said Brandi Herrington, executive director of Starkville Strong. “The funds raised from ‘Dancing Through the Decades’ will be instrumental in supporting our efforts to combat food insecurity, homelessness, and housing instability in Starkville.”
The funds raised through this event will directly support:
■ Feeding Programs: Providing meals and food supplies to ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
■ Housing Assistance: Helping individuals and families secure stable housing and reduce homelessness and housing instability.
■ Community Advocacy: Empowering underserved populations through education, resources, and support to improve their quality of life.
To make this event a success, Starkville Strong is offering a variety of sponsorship packages tailored to different levels of contribution. These packages come with unique benefits, including event recognition and promotional opportunities. Businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event are encouraged to reach out for more information.
“We have designed our sponsorship packages to be accessible to a range of supporters, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to our mission,” added Herrington. “We are grateful for the community’s continued support and look forward to making a significant impact together.”
