Features neighborhood block parties, cookouts and fun, meet your police officers, youth activities, flashlight walks, and contest giveaways. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
