The Jeffery Simmons Community Fun Day is just around the corner, promising an exciting day of food, games, and fun activities for families and friends in the community. This event, hosted by Jeffery Simmons and organized by Mayor Freddie L. Poindexter, staff members, and volunteers, is a great opportunity for residents of the City of Macon and surrounding cities to come together and enjoy quality time in a festive, welcoming environment.

This year’s Community Fun Day will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 6-11:30 PM at the Noxubee Titans Field (814 Dr. MLK Jr Dr, Macon, MS 39341), and there will be plenty of activities to enjoy. The event will kick off with DJ WhizKid on the mix and live entertainment by WayWay, Matt Lomax, ArmonEG, DJ Allen & Righteous, Drey B, Armondo Adams & Redemption, STACY Regular, Terry Rogers, American Idol Finalist Keyla Richardson, and many more surprise special guests.

Families can enjoy over 30 food and apparel vendors, including food trucks and boutiques, while kids will have a blast bouncing around in the bounce houses (we have water slides and pools, so they’ll be wet). There will also be a variety of games and activities for all ages to enjoy, including free prize giveaways and autograph signings.

For Jeffery Simmons Fun Day, we have a strict clear bag policy in place to ensure the safety and security of all attendees. Please take note of the following guidelines:

NO PERSONAL TENTS ALLOWED! Only lawn chairs are permitted!!!!
ONLY CLEAR BAGS ARE ALLOWED – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
NO OUTSIDE COOLERS OR BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED!!!

Bring money to patronize vendors.
All attendees are subject to search at any time during the event. This includes bags, personal belongings, and potentially pat-down searches.
Refusal to comply with a search request will result in the individual being escorted out of the event immediately.
No weapons of any kind are permitted inside the event venue. This includes firearms, knives, pepper spray, or any other potentially dangerous items.
Backpacks are prohibited, even if they are clear. We recommend using small clear bags or small clutches for your belongings.
Please be aware that security personnel and law enforcement officers will have a heavy presence throughout the event to ensure compliance with these policies and to respond to any security concerns promptly.
