West Point Clay County Animal Shelter hosts its first-ever Community Vaccine Clinic, made possible by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. Free core vaccines available for 50 local dogs by appointment only. This is a drive-through clinic — please remain in your vehicle. Follow cones and directional arrows to form a single line outside the WPCCAS gates. Free vaccines include Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza & Parvovirus), and Bordetella. Optional add-ons: Microchip ($10), Nail Trim ($5), Flea & Tick Prevention ($10–$15 depending on pet weight, while supplies last). One free dog per household; additional dogs may be added for a $20 donation per dog. Dogs must be on a secure leash, healthy enough to receive vaccines, and must not display aggressive behavior. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early — appointments may be forfeited if you arrive more than 10 minutes late.
