NETTLETON — A Monroe County man Wednesday was arrested on methamphetamine charges after a Nettleton police officer discovered a mobile meth lab in the man”s work truck.
Jimmy Carole Holland, 47, of 179 Sisk Drive in Nettleton, was arrested on one count of possession of methamphetamine precursors and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest came after the officer discovered methamphetamine and several items used to make the drug in Holland”s employer”s commercial pickup truck. Because the drugs and precursors were discovered within 1,500 feet of a Nettleton church, all charges brought against Holland will be enhanced, according to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff”s Department.
Members of the MCSD and agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit aided in the arrest. As of this morning, no bond or preliminary hearing date had been set.
