WEST POINT — Pearl Virginia Johnson Jack, 75, died Sept. 10, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services are Friday at noon at St. Paul Methodist Church in West Point with Minister Maggie Little officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Mrs. Jack was born July 26, 1934, to the late Clifford Ashford and Lizzie Ashford. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Artley Jack; sons, Denzell Jack; brothers, Luther Ashford and Jessie Lee Ashford; and sister, Nannie Foster. She is survived by sons, Artley Jerome Jack, of West Point, and Melvin S. Jack, of Columbus; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
