The city will soon initiate a pair of improvement projects to intersections on Lynn Lane to help traffic flow.
Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors on Monday approved offering $1.7 million for a building on Lynn Lane for the new Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District’s administrative building.
The city of Starkville is preparing for work at two intersections along Lynn Lane to help with traffic flow along the road.
City Engineer Edward Kemp, in a presentation during a Friday afternoon work session, said preparations are underway to widen Lynn Lane at its intersection with Industrial Park Road and at the intersection with Logan Drive at the Starkville Sportsplex’s entrance.
Officials will debut conceptual designs of sidewalks and bike paths that will connect south Starkville to Mississippi State University’s campus during a 4 p.m. public meeting Thursday at The Mill Conference Center.

STARKVILLE — The initial phase of the Louisville Street widening project is set to begin Monday.
Traffic will be greatly affected, as construction will force the street to one lane. At no point during construction will the street completely close, said Aaron Gregory, of Columbus-based Gregory Construction.
