Judges for Starkville’s Cotton District Arts Festival Songwriter’s Competition had a tough time deciding among the 20 entrants, but results are in. The top three songwriters will perform at noon April 12 on the festival’s West Stage on University Boulevard.

Preparations for the 2013 Cotton District Arts Festival set for April 20 are underway. Festival organizers have issued a call to all artists age 18 and above for submissions to the Juried Art Competition, a feature of the annual festival which organizers say drew more than 42,000 attendees last year.
All professional and amateur songwriters are invited to enter the Cotton District Arts Festival Songwriter’s Competition sponsored by McReynolds’ Orthodontics.
