New citizens from around the globe will be officially sworn in as United States citizens at The Mill at Mississippi State University on April 1 at 11 a.m. in the facility’s ballroom.

Being underage, Johnson needed his father’s signature to go off to war. His father didn’t like that idea. Johnson persisted.
“We had a world to save,” he said last week. “If we left Hitler alone he would take over the world.”
Korean War vets to be honored in national ceremony Friday
On Friday, veterans of the Korean War will be honored in a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Korean War Commemoration Committee and Department of Defense. The “Heroes Remembered” event marks the 59th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War Armistice.
