County joins with others to cut cost of mapping
Lowndes County is one of 20 counties in Mississippi that will see substantial savings on aerial mapping photography by entering into a mutual agreement with state legislators and Mississippi Department of Transportation.

The board is expected to enter into an inter-local agreement with Choctaw and Webster counties to save money on aerial mapping services, a move board vice president John Montgomery said should save the three counties money by consolidating the project.
