STARKVILLE — Mississippi State coach Mike Leach’s Twitter activity found him in hot water again this week.
After Leach’s account posted an image poking fun at a wife sewing a noose for her husband Wednesday night, the first-year head coach was maligned for the supposed meme.
He later deleted the image and issued an apology Thursday.
“I sincerely regret if my choice of images in my tweets were found offensive,” Leach wrote Thursday afternoon. “I had no intention of offending anyone.”
MSU sophomore defensive lineman Fabien Lovett responded to the image with “Wtf.”
Senior defensive lineman and Starkville native Kobe Jones added, “Facts. He tripping.”
Leach previously found himself in trouble on Twitter in February when he posted a string of tweets denigrating Utah senator Mitt Romney after Romney was the lone Republican to vote against President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial.
