Mississippi State volleyball swept in Starkville by Tennessee in final regular-season match

The Mississippi State volleyball team dropped another Southeastern Conference match Saturday, swept by Tennessee at the Newell-Grissom Building in Starkville in the regular season's final contest.


The Bulldogs finished a 2-16 SEC record and a 13-17 overall record after the 3-0 loss. Set scores Saturday were 25-10, 25-18, 25-18.


Amarrah Cooks and Paige Shaw led the Bulldogs with seven kills apiece, and Gabby Waden had six. Callie Minshew had 13 digs, Kanani Price had 12, and Makenzie Jordan had eight.



Mississippi State's last SEC match win came Nov. 1 against Auburn, and both of its conference victories came against the Tigers.
