Caledonia basketball sweeps Hamilton in home opener

Cooper McCleskey scored 16 points and Jarvis Leigh had 14 as the Caledonia boys basketball team beat Hamilton 70-27 on Friday in the Confederates' home opener.

 

The Caledonia girls hung on for a 46-44 victory over the Lions. T'nyzia Lathan scored 16 points, and Shanti Kidd had 12.

 

The Confederates' next game is Nov. 30 at the Starkville Thanksgiving Tournament.

Eric Green led the Yellow Jackets with 15 points.
