The Mississippi University for Women volleyball team split its two matches Saturday at the Huntingdon Tri-Match in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Owls (4-11) beat Pensacola Christian College (3-1) 22-25, 26-24, 25-13, 16-25, 15-11 in the first match. Tori Weir led the team in kills with 13, and Iyana Canada had nine.
The W was swept by 8-10 Huntingdon College by a score of 25-16, 25-23, 25-23 in the second match. Weir and Canada tied for the team lead with eight kills.
The Owls host Belhaven at 6 p.m. Tuesday for their military appreciation night.
