STARKVILLE — Freshman Garrett Endicott received more postseason hardware as he was named to the PING All-America Team honorable mention list.
Endicott became the first Bulldog golfer since Alex Rocha in 2000 to be named to an All-American team. He was one of 34 Division I golfers to earn honorable mention status.
“I am so proud of Garrett and everything he accomplished this season,” Mississippi State head coach Dusty Smith said in Tuesday’s press release. “He had a great season this year and deserves this honor. Garrett is a hard worker who played a vital role in our team’s success. I am just so happy for him.”
As a freshman, Endicott led Mississippi State with a 71.22 stroke average on the year, and is the fifth golfer in program history to earn All-American honorable mention honors.
Endicott was a two-time SEC Freshman of the Week selection, a second team All-SEC selection and an All-SEC Freshman Team selection. He finished 11th individually at NCAA Regionals and posted a top-20 finish at the SEC Championships.
