WEST POINT — Oak Hill Academy baseball swept an afternoon/evening doubleheader against North Delta School at home on Tuesday.
The Raiders (5-5, 4-0 in district)) took care of business in the first game of the doubleheader in a 6-2 win, tallying eight hits, with two multi-hit games recorded for OHA.
Game 2 saw the Raiders walk-off NDS, 5-4, with John Ross Craven the hero. He delivered a walk-off hit in the seventh while controlling the game on the mound, striking out five and giving up three runs and four hits over six innings.
He had two hits in the win, one of three players with a multi-hit game in the nightcap.
Oak Hill Academy travels to play North Delta in the rematch of Tuesday’s game at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Heritage Academy 5, Pillow Academy 3
GREENWOOD — Heritage Academy baseball defeated Pillow Academy, 5-3, on the road on Tuesday night.
The Patriots begin conference play with a win, behind five innings of one-hit, eight-strikeout baseball from Jack Ketchum. He helped himself out at the plate with a three-hit day and an RBI.
Charlie Fowler also had a three-hit day for Heritage, and both Adyn Westmoreland and Carson Hollis had a hit and two RBIs each, Hollis coming in for the save in the seventh.
Heritage Academy will host Pillow Academy in a doubleheader in its next games starting at 4 p.m. Thursday.
New Hope 8, West Point 5
NEW HOPE — New Hope baseball took down West Point to begin district play at home on Tuesday night.
The Trojans (12-4) used a solid pitching performance from Adam Minichino to take the win as he struck out eight and gave up six hits over six innings of work.
West Point hung in and competed with New Hope, coming up just short in the end. The Green Wave and Trojans will face off again at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Trojans improved to 7-10 with the two wins this week as they host West Point at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Columbus will travel to play Hamilton in its next game at 6 p.m. Thursday.

OXFORD — Starkville softball was shut out in a 10-0 mercy rule loss against Oxford on Tuesday night.
The Yellow Jackets (3-6) managed just six hits in the loss, striking out 10 times against the Chargers.
Starkville will host Eupora in its next game at 6 p.m. Friday.
