CALEDONIA — Caledonia High School boys basketball remained hot with a 71-36 home drubbing of Gordo (Alabama) on Tuesday night.
The Cavaliers improved to 9-2 on the season.
In girls basketball action, the Cavs beat the Green Wave 54-40.
Ashia Williams led the way with 14 points as Caledonia saw 10 players score.
Caledonia will host Corinth in its district opener Friday. The girls game tips off at 5 p.m., with the boys at 6:30 p.m.

Columbus Christian Academy 51, Kemper Academy 32
STEENS — Columbus Christian Academy won its second game in as many nights, beating Kemper Academy 51-32 at home Tuesday.
Ada Farlow led the Rams (7-3) with 17 points, and Shi Easterwood added 16. Satavia Watkins scored seven points, and Cassie Carter had six.
Columbus Christian opens district play Friday at home against Delta Academy.
Starkville 52, Greenwood 8
GREENWOOD — Starkville girls basketball routed Greenwood on the road on Tuesday night, winning 52-8.
The Yellow Jackets (7-1) were led by Jamaica Young’s game-high 17 points, with Zariyah Edwards right behind her with 12 points in the win.
Starkville will travel to play Columbus in its next game at 6 p.m. Friday.
Oak Hill Academy 57, Lee Academy 14
CLARKSDALE — Oak Hill Academy girls basketball defeated Lee Academy in a big way on Tuesday evening, a 57-14 victory.
Raylee Craven led the Raiders (7-5) with 14 points in the win, one of two double-figure scores for OHA along with Mary Beth Briggs, who had 11 points.
Oak Hill Academy will host Kirk Academy in its next game at 6 p.m. Friday.

STEENS — The Columbus Christian boys improved to 8-1 on the season with a home win over Kemper Academy on Monday.
Joe Michael Edwards led the Rams with 17 points, and Drake Shaw had 14.
Caleb McCarter added 13 points for Columbus Christian, and Jackson Howard scored nine.
New Hope 57, Neshoba Central 53
PHILADELPHIA — New Hope boys basketball defeated Neshoba Central in a close game on Tuesday night, 57-53.
The Trojans (5-3) saw TJ Warren put up a team-high 23 points in the win, one of two New Hope players who scored in double-figures as Issace Grady scored 10 points.
New Hope will travel to play in the BIGG Classic in Biggersville on Saturday.
Starkville 63, Greenwood 25
GREENWOOD — Starkville boys basketball handedly defeated Greenwood on the road on Tuesday night, winning 63-25.
The Yellow Jackets (8-2) spread the scoring out in the win as Makhi Myles led the team in scoring with 11 points.
Starkville will travel to play Columbus in its next game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Oak Hill Academy 37, Lee Academy 32
CLARKSDALE — Oak Hill Academy boys basketball defeated Lee Academy in a close game on Tuesday evening, 37-32.
Collins Trolio scored just over half of the Raiders’ points in the win, with 18 for OHA. John Ross Craven had six points as well for the Raiders.
Oak Hill Academy will host Kirk Academy in its next game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

New Hope will travel for its next game at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Itawamba Agricultural.
