Mississippi State senior safety Collin Duncan declared for the 2023 NFL draft Tuesday morning, forgoing one final year of eligibility to do so.
He did not specify whether he will play in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Jan. 2.
“To my Bulldog family, thank you for bringing me in and treating me like family since the first day I stepped on campus,” Duncan wrote in a social media post. “Being a Mississippi State Bulldog means the world to me and it forever will.”
Duncan recently completed his fourth regular season at MSU, recording 55 tackles — 3.5 for loss — two sacks, an interception and a team-high eight quarterback hits.
Over his four-year career, Duncan has totaled 148 tackles and three interceptions.
He joins safeties Jackie Matthews and Jalen Green and cornerback Emmanuel Forbes as starters in the MSU secondary to depart. Matthews and Green are out of eligibility, while Forbes declared for the draft last week.
