Fresh off a 49-9 loss to No. 5 Alabama, the Mississippi State football team on Monday learned the game time and broadcast information for its next home contest at Davis Wade Stadium.
The Bulldogs (3-3, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) will host No. 15 Kentucky (6-1, 4-1 SEC) at 6 p.m. Oct. 30, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
Mississippi State has lost three of its past four games, falling at Memphis and at home to LSU before upsetting then-No. 15 Texas A&M on Oct. 2 in College Station. The Bulldogs were off the following week before being routed in Starkville by the Crimson Tide.
Kentucky is coming off its first loss of the season, a 30-13 defeat at the hands of No. 1 Georgia that cost the Wildcats just four spots in the AP Top 25 poll. Coach Mark Stoops’ team has conference wins over Missouri, South Carolina, Florida and LSU.
Mississippi State has a 25-22 all-time edge over Kentucky. The Bulldogs have not lost to the Wildcats in Starkville since 2008.
MSU will first travel to face Vanderbilt (2-5, 0-3 SEC) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
