The Mississippi State football team has yet to play a game after its upset of then-No. 15 Texas A&M on Oct. 2 in College Station, Texas.
But the Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) found out Monday when they’ll be playing their second SEC road game.
Mississippi State will take on Vanderbilt (2-4, 0-2 SEC) at 3 p.m. Oct. 23 in Nashville, Tennessee, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network.
The Bulldogs will first face No. 5 Alabama (5-1, 2-1 SEC) at 6 p.m. Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium. The Crimson Tide are coming off their first loss since 2019, a 41-38 defeat at Texas A&M.
