Mississippi State’s first Southeastern Conference game of the 2021 season will kick off at 11 a.m. on Sept. 25 at Davis Wade Stadium.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN, the SEC announced Monday.
The Bulldogs (2-0) will welcome LSU (1-1) to Starkville in a rematch of the 2020 season opener in Baton Rouge. MSU pulled a 44-34 upset of the defending national champion Tigers last Sept. 26 in Death Valley.
Mississippi State has won its first two games in 2021, beating Louisiana Tech 35-34 on Sept. 4 and dominating NC State 24-10 on Saturday. The Bulldogs will visit Memphis (2-0) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Cross named SEC offensive lineman of the week
Also Monday morning, redshirt sophomore left tackle Charles Cross was named the SEC offensive lineman of the week.
Cross led the Bulldogs’ offensive line with a 73.6 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, and his pass blocking grade of 88.8 ranked third in the SEC.
Cross didn’t allow a single pressure against NC State.
