East Rankin Academy roared to a 3-0 halftime lead Tuesday, but Heritage Academy came back with four goals after halftime and finished with a 4-4 tie in Columbus.
Heritage Academy is 0-1-1 after opening the season with a 2-0 loss to Washington in Greenville. The Generals will travel Tuesday to Columbus for a rematch.
The Patriots are fielding a young team this season, with only two seniors — Destinee Flowers and Madison Waddell — and two juniors — Meg Barlow and Summer Almeda — on the 21-player roster.

Starkville Academy went 4-1 during a season-opening tournament Saturday, including 4-0 and 2-0 wins over Adams County Christian and a 3-0 win over Kirk Academy before wrapping up the event with a 2-0 loss to Bayou Academy.
The Volunteers will be back on the field Thursday with a home game against Lamar at 5:30 p.m.
