Five teams emerged victorious in the Lowndes County recreation department’s baseball and softball summer leagues.
In 8-and-under coach-pitch baseball, West Brothers was named champion, with Montgomery’s finishing second.
In 8U coach-pitch softball, Lowndes Farm Supply was first, and Swoope Insurance was second.
Sunflower won the 10U baseball division, and B&B Towing was runner-up.
Sports Specialty finished first in 10U fast-pitch softball, while Ellis Woodworks was second.
In 12U baseball, King & Associates was champion, while Styron Lawn Service was second.
The county also recognized its summer league all-star teams Monday.
In 8U coach-pitch softball and 10U fast-pitch softball, USA Softball of North Mississippi were champions.
In 8U coach-pitch baseball, Dizzy Dean Baseball won third place in south state.
In 10U baseball, Dizzy Dean was south runner-up, and in 12U baseball, Dizzy Dean won the south state championship.
