Heritage Academy scored runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to eke out a 5-3 home win over Nanih Waiya on Monday in Columbus.
Rhett Ketchum led the Patriots (10-1) with three hits. Cole Ketchum, Caleb Hall and Drew Huskison all had two.
Braden Davidson struck out seven in five innings, and Jack Ketchum had a save in two innings on the mound.
The Patriots will host Winston Academy for a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Caledonia 14, Mantachie 3
MANTACHIE — Caledonia improved to 6-1 with a 14-3 road win Monday at Mantachie.
Zack Gorum had the win on the mound for the Cavaliers.
Caledonia will play at West Point at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Columbus Christian Academy 18, Hebron Christian 8
Pickens Academy (Ala.) 6, South Choctaw Academy (Ala.) 1
CARROLLTON, Ala. — Pickens Academy (Alabama) beat South Choctaw Academy (Alabama) 6-1 in Monday’s home game.
Lane Lowery went 1 for 4 and drove in two runs for the Pirates, and Bodhi Parham was 1 for 1 with three walks. Sawyer Perrigin led Pickens with two hits in a 2-for-3 night with two runs scored.
Lowery struck out nine batters in six scoreless innings on the mound, allowing three hits and three walks and striking out nine.
Pickens’ next game is Tuesday at home against Tuscaloosa Academy.
Prep Softball
Caledonia 20, West Point 3
WEST POINT — Caledonia beat West Point 20-3 on Monday in West Point.
Allison Penington and Kaydence Sudduth went 2 for 4 for the Cavaliers.
Avery Johnston led Caledonia with three RBIs, while George, Pennington and Sudduth all had two.
Pennington had a home run for Caledonia.
The Cavs will play Tuesday at New Hope.
