STARKVILLE — Mississippi State and Ole Miss will have to wait a few more days.
Sources told The Dispatch Sunday morning that the women’s basketball game between MSU and Ole Miss initially scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday has since been postponed after tip time was moved up two hours in preparation for inclement weather in the Oxford area. MSU confirmed the news in a release later Sunday.
At this point it’s unclear on when the game will potentially be rescheduled for, though the Bulldogs have already dealt with such scheduling gymnastics this winter. MSU has had six games canceled or rescheduled this season due to COVID-19-related issues. Most recently, the Bulldogs’ Feb. 4 meeting with No. 16 Tennessee was rescheduled for Tuesday.
MSU (8-6, 3-5 SEC) is currently riding a four-game losing streak for the first time since the 2012-13 season. The Bulldogs won the first meeting between the in-state rivals earlier this year 60-56 in Starkville.
