A pair of local swimmers topped the field in points at the Sunkist Winter Blast held Jan. 29-31 at the Flowood YMCA.
Eight-year-old Axel Phillips of Swim Columbus received the high point trophy in the boys 8-and-under division. His teammate, 9-year-old Kameron Wright, won the 10U high point award.
Swim Columbus finished sixth in the event. The team will have two more meets this season: the 8U developmental meet in Laurel on Saturday and the Mississippi State Swim Meet hosted in Tupelo from Feb. 26-28. Swim Columbus will have 12 swimmers competing in the state meet.
