OLIVE BRANCH — Columbus girls basketball picked up its first win of the year with a 58-51 overtime victory over Center Hill in Saturday’s road game.
DJ Jackson led the Falcons (1-1) with 17 points and seven rebounds, and China Stewart had 15 points.
Both Charity Yeates and Makayla Rieves posted double-doubles for Columbus. Yeates had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Rieves had 10 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks and four steals.
Columbus will host Louisville on Tuesday.
Oak Hill Academy 43, Kirk Academy 37, Friday
GRENADA — Oak Hill Academy beat Kirk Academy 43-37 in Friday’s road game.
Sara Nash had 14 points to lead the Raiders (2-0), and Raylee Craven scored eight.
Morgan Dabbs scored six points, Dovie Suggs had five, and Carley Wooten had four.
Oak Hill will host Starkville Christian on Monday.

GRENADA — Cameron Dill had 14 points as the Oak Hill boys beat Kirk Academy 52-24 on Friday.
The Raiders (2-0) will host Starkville Christian on Monday.
