Columbus Soccer Organization is pleased to announce the opening of registration for TOP Soccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) for players with special needs. The program is open to any player with a special need — both physical and cognitive — from 4 to 19 years of age.
In-person registration can be done at any of the YMCA locations as well as at the Lowndes County Recreation Department at 17 Airline Road. Registration opens today and closes Sept. 4, and signing up is free thanks to a grant from the 4-County Foundation.
Anyone interested in working with the program as a “TOP Soccer Buddy” should plan to attend required training at 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at the Frank P. Phillips YMCA in downtown Columbus.
