Autumn Taylor and My’Neka Frazier each had a double-double as the Mississippi University for Women women’s basketball team beat Tougaloo College 69-65 on Wednesday in Columbus.
Taylor had 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Frazier had 16 points and 14 rebounds. Taylor added six assists and two steals, and Frazier had four assists and four steals. Rachael McGrew scored 13 points to go with five rebounds, five steals and two blocks.
MUW made 25 of 53 shots for 47.2 percent and shot 6 of 12 from 3-point range.
The Owls (5-13) will travel to Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to compete in the Campbellsville-Harrodsburg Classic this weekend. MUW will face Florida National University at 4 p.m. Friday and will play host Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg at 11 a.m. Saturday.
